About us

Who We Are

Wonderland Development Agency (WDA)

We are National Humanitarian and Development Organization, legally registered and mandated to operate in the Republic of South Sudan by The Ministry of Justice and South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) under South Sudan NGO Act 2003.

Our VISION

To be one of the leading organizations in providing access to a dignified survival, protection and development for mothers and children.

Our MISSION

Improving the wellbeing of the most vulnerable populations especially Mothers and Children through Integrated emergency and development programmes.

We work with and in communities affected by natural and man-made disasters in South Sudan providing lifesaving assistance to Internally Displaced Persons, Returnees and Vulnerable host communities.

In all our programmes, we prioritize safety, access, dignity, and Inclusion to ensure we are considering the safety of programme participants, that different groups can access and participate in programmes, and that their inherent dignity is respected in all interactions.

We are guided by the principles of empowerment, participation, intersectionality, accountability, interconnectedness, safeguarding and safe and meaningful access to humanitarian assistance. Aware that factors such as age, disability and gender can create or entrench discrimination, we consider Inclusion to be key in our work.

We ensure we leave no one behind in our programmes. Also, we adapt our interventions to ensure beneficiaries are drawn from different and diverse groups based on needs facing them to promote the inclusion of everyone and particularly the most vulnerable. We believe no one is beyond reach.

We believe no one is beyond reach. We adhere to core humanitarian standards and commitments and that people affected by crisis can expect:

To know their rights and entitlements, have access to information and participate in decisions that affect them

Access to the humanitarian assistance they need at the right time

Access to safe and responsive mechanisms to handle complaints

Coordinated, complementary assistance

That they are not negatively affected and are more prepared, resilient and less at-risk as a result of humanitarian action

Assistance which is appropriate and relevant to their needs

Delivery of improved assistance as organisations learn from experience and reflection

Assistance from competent and well-managed staff and volunteers

That the organisations assisting them are managing resources effectively, efficiently and ethically
